| The active ingredient in Acrobat SC is dimethomorph, a cinnamic acid derivative and member of the morpholine chemical family. It is a mixture of two isomers, with the Z isomer providing fungicidal activity. Dimethomorph is effective against oomycetes, especially Peronosporaceae and Phytophthora spp. Dimethomorph interrupts fungal cell wall development, which causes the wall to collapse (lysis), resulting in the death of the fungus. |
